Where are the drivers from?
Our drivers come primarily from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo — countries with a long tradition of professional driving and heavy machinery operation. All candidates go through our recruitment screening process; practical Assessment Center testing is available on request for employers who want verified skill confirmation before placement.
What licences do Balkan drivers hold?
Balkan drivers hold EU-recognised licences including CE (articulated truck), D (bus), B/BE (van), and ADR certificates for hazardous goods transport. Machine operators hold vocational qualifications for excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. Train drivers hold TfV-equivalent EU licences. All licences are verified before any candidate is presented to you.
How long does recruitment take?
We present the first matched candidates within 3–7 business days of receiving your request. Once you confirm your selection, visa processing under the Westbalkanregelung takes approximately 2–3 months for candidates from Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro, and 6–7 months for candidates from Serbia. What is the Westbalkanregelung?
The Westbalkanregelung (Section 26 (2) AufenthV) is a German immigration regulation that allows citizens of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia to obtain a work visa for any job in Germany — without needing a recognised German qualification. The employer must offer a valid employment contract, and the visa is granted by the German embassy in the applicant's home country. It is the most accessible and legally secure pathway for recruiting Balkan professionals.
Do Balkan drivers speak German?
Language levels vary by candidate. Many have basic to intermediate German (A2–B1) from prior work experience or language courses. We provide language proficiency information for each candidate profile. In most transport and logistics roles, basic German and standard industry terminology are sufficient for day-to-day operations. We also offer language training support as part of our onboarding programme.
